Hundreds of home owners and entities operating high-rise apartment buildings have benefitted from Prestige Environmental’s unique ability to offer innovative, cost-effective solutions to resolve complex issues.  We have successfully assisted home owners pursue insurance claims for leaking underground oil tanks, and have obtained state grants for site remediation.  In many cases, we were able to reduce clients’ out of pocket expenses to zero.

Prestige Environmental resolved soil and groundwater contamination issues related to a former 3,000-gallon leaking heating oil tank removed from the street.  The work area was near heavily traveled J.F.K. Boulevard, which required traffic control, coordination with police and tenants living in the high-rise apartment building.  The entire cost of remediation, exceeding $70,000, was funded by New Jersey’s “Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Remediation Upgrade and Closure Fund Grant” (P.L. 1997, C. 235).

Resolved contamination issues related to a leaking 5,000-gallon heating oil tank in accordance with the New Jersey DEP’s Unregulated Heating Oil Tank (UHOT) Program.  The tank was located in the exterior paved area of the high-rise apartment building.

Prestige Environmental removed four heating oil underground tanks of 2,000 to 4,000-gallon capacity located in an area between two buildings with limited access.  Soil contamination was encountered.  Excavation of contaminated soil required resolving building foundation safety issues and evaluation of groundwater impact.
